Jessica Jones has been a member of the Upson County staff for over twelve years, serving as the County Clerk for the last eight years. Jessica acts as the official record keeper for the county. Her duties include ensuring all records are organized, accurate, and complete. She has worked diligently to create and implement processes that ensure county records are referenceable and searchable documents. Through these procedures, Jessica has created an
archive of all board actions, including meeting minutes, official communications, board contracts, and much more. Her attention to detail and forward thinking has not only enhanced current record keeping, but also aided in streamlining older records into easily searchable archives.
Jessica has vast experience in multiple departments. Her cross training in finance allows her to add knowledge and experience in accounting and finance to her current role as County Clerk. Jessica has been instrumental in building and maintaining Upson County’s code of ordinances. She works to make sure that all items are codified. She also proudly represents Upson County as the Vice President of the Georgia County Clerks’ Association.
When she is not working, Jessica enjoys attending football games with her husband, and spending time with her daughter, and family. She is the church secretary at Logtown Bethel Church and is a member of the Middle Georgia Basketball Officials Association, serving as a referee for local basketball games including both recreational league and school sponsored games.
