This is to serve as public notice that the Upson County  Board of Elections will conduct an electronic recount of the 11-3-2020 General Election as mandated by the Georgia Secretary of State.  This is a statewide recount.  Logic and Accuracy testing of the scanning equipment used in the recount will take place on 11-24-2020 at 1:00 PM at the Elections Processing Center located at 715 Andrews Drive, Thomaston, GA  30286.  We will begin scanning/recounting the ballots beginning on Monday 11-30-2020 at 9:00 AM at the same location.  The deadline for completion of the recount is midnight on Wednesday 12-2-2020.  This recount is open to the public.  All political parties have been notified are are invited to have up to two monitors present inside the counting area.  A Ballot Review Committee will also be present that consists of representatives from each political party and the Board of Elections.
