The Upson County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. W. Jason Tinsley as our next County Manager.
Mr. Tinsley is currently employed by the Marion County Commissioners serving as their county manager since March 2016. He has most recently served as City Manager in Jefferson, Ga and prior to that he served as the County Administrator in Wayne County. From November 2006 to March 2013 he served as the Assistant County Manager and Finance Director for Habersham County.
He possesses a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from East Tennessee State University as well as a Master of City Management from East Tennessee State.
Jason and his wife Kaylyn currently reside in Buena Vista, Ga with their three sons, Jackson (13), Joel (12) and Jensen (9).
We do not have a firm start date for Mr. Tinsley and we will continue to work with him on the successful transition to Upson County.
I am excited to have someone of Jason's experience and reputation join our team and I have every confidence that under his leadership Upson County will continue to grow and prosper.
