[ARCHIVED] Upson County Board of Elections Announces Drop Box Location for Absentee Ballots

The State of Georgia Board of Elections passed an emergency election code change allowing County’s the option of having a "Drop Box" location for Absentee Ballots for the June 9, 2020 Primary Election only.  The Upson County Board of Elections and Registrations has opted to have a drop box location located at 305 S. Hightower Street at the City of Thomaston Drive-Through location of the City/County Government Complex.  The box is clearly labeled and is for Absentee Ballots only.  Ballots will be accepted beginning Tuesday April 21, 2020 and we will accept ballots in the drop box until 7:00 PM on Tuesday June 9, 2020.  By law no absentee ballots can be accepted after 7:00 PM on election day.  This box is secure and is monitored by recorded video camera at all times.  You may also mail your Absentee Ballot to our office.  If you have questions concerning this process please email your questions to electionsinfo@upsoncountyga.org.  We prefer that you email us your questions but you may also call the office at 706-647-6259 if email is not an option.
