The Georgia Forestry Commission, Upson County Office, is located approximately five miles east of Thomaston on Highway 74. The services offered to the public include:

A forester is also provided to assist landowners with management plans and technical advise.
Burn Permit
A burn permit is required for all outside burning. You can obtain a burn permit by calling the numbers listed at the right. You may also obtain a yard debris burn permit on the Georgia Forestry Commission website.
